Ghost Architecture and Modern Heritage in Delhi will be a discussion of some of the key modernist buildings of the 1970s that have been lost to redevelopment in recent years in New Delhi, as well as a reappraisal of their merits as architectural heritage.
Dr Michael S. Dodson is Associate Professor of History at Indiana University Bloomington and the author of Orientalism, Empire, and National Culture (2007), and the editor of Banaras: Urban Forms and Cultural Histories (2011) and Trans-Colonial Modernities in South Asia (2012). His new book is called Bureaucracy, Belonging, and the City in North India, forthcoming in early 2020.
