General Instruction

1. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
  • Nominations and withdrawals shall be accepted only on the prescribed form and strictly according to the election schedule notified.
  • Student members from any gender can contest elections.
  • Forms for nominations and/or withdrawal are available with
    • 1. Ramiz Kazmi, ERP Cell, Ground Floor, Computer Lab, Hall 58, Kashmere Gate Campus
    • 2. Nishant Massey, School of Design, Block 71, First Floor, Kashmere Gate Campus
    • 3. Tejeshwar Singh, School of Education Studies, Room 308, Second Floor, Administrative Block, Kashmere Gate Campus
    • 4. Shambhu Sharan Singh, Karampura Campus
    • 5. Ayushi Verma, Karampur Campus
  • Candidates can submit duly filled nomination/ withdrawal forms from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. (On Weekdays Only)
  • Use English CAPITAL letters and standard acronyms of School, Programme, Division / Center as per AUD norms.
  • Do not leave any column blank. Incomplete form will be rejected immediately.
  • Any new addition or correction in the voters list required for the purpose of proper identification of the candidate must be done in advance before filing nomination.
  • Mere filing of nomination(s) does not ensure candidature for that post.
  • Any nomination must fulfill the rules and guidelines issued by the Election Committee in this regard. If any information in the nomination form(s) is found incorrect or in violation of rules, the nomination(s) will be invalidated.
  • The election committee’s decision regarding the submission, withdrawal and
invalidation shall be final and binding.
 
2. COMPOSITION OF CPSH STUDENTS REPRESENTATIVES
  • At KG campus: 7 (out of which at least 5 should be women)
Students: 5 (out of which at least 3 should be women)
Hostel Students: 1 (woman)
Student researcher: 1 (woman)
  • At Karampura campus: 3 (out of which at least 2 should be women)
Students: 3 (out of which at least 2 should be women)
 
3. RULES FOR NOMINATION AND WITHDRAWAL
  • Nomination(s) and Withdrawal(s) shall be accepted only on the prescribed form and strictly according to the election schedule notified.
  • A candidate must appear in person along with the following documents for the
purpose of nomination/withdrawal:
  • (a) Identity Card/Employment ID/ Offer Letter
  • (b) Nomination receipt/s (For withdrawal only)
4. THE VOTING PATTERN FOR STUDENT REPRESENTATIVES TO CPSH
According to the Rules & Procedures of the Policy of CPSH each student voter has one vote for a representative of every constituency to which the student voter belongs. Accordingly, votes will be cast in the ballot paper(s) in the following manner:
At KG campus: 7 (out of which at least 5 should be women)
General Student (GS): 5 Votes (for 5 GS)
Research Scholar (RS): 6 Votes (for 5 GS and for 1 RS)
Hostel Resident (HR): 6 Votes (for 6 GS and for 1 HR)
Research Scholar and Hostel Resident: 7 Votes (for 5 GS, for 1 RS and for 1 HR)
At Karampura campus: 3 (out of which at least 2 should be women)
General Student (GS): 3 Votes (for 3 GS)
